Here’s what people are saying about Laura:

  • Birgit Steinbusch, Journalist, Radio Host

“Working with Laura is fun. Too simple? No! We all know learning and fun don’t always match. And if they do - it’s perfect, right? In fact for me that’s one of the points why it’s so effective and successful to put your head together with her. She saw the world – and she brings it to you. She’s inspiring, motivating, creative, strict (be prepared 😊) and she listens to you, remembering almost everything you once said. That’s a gift. And in the end – yes, Laura is fun.”

  • Robbie Christian, Freelance Instructional Designer

“Laura has a natural talent for both designing and developing training. Her work on her portfolio speaks for itself, but what you might not gather is how well she works with others. Laura is exactly the type of person I want on a team: she has a lot of natural talent, leverages previous experience, works efficiently, meets deadlines, is extremely pleasant to work with, and takes feedback thoughtfully. She doesn't mindlessly accept every suggestion but instead considers how it affects the overall outcome and is comfortable, when appropriate, opening a positive dialogue to ask clarifying questions about feedback that doesn't align with the vision.”

  • Melanie Adkison, Instructional Designer

"Laura is a smart, creative, and talented instructional designer. Laura's exceptional writing abilities, coupled with her gift for storytelling, set her apart in crafting engaging and impactful learning experiences. Laura challenges others to push boundaries and embrace growth; a testament to her dedication to the success and development of her peers. She would be a valuable addition to any Learning and Development team."

What goes into creating great learning?

Here are four qualities:

  • Iterative design that includes active collaboration with coworkers, clients, stakeholders, and subject matter experts from start to finish.

  • Excellent communication, planning, and attention to timeliness. I love a spreadsheet.

  • Excellent listening and an agile approach, with the ability to pivot and reorganize based on new and better ideas.

  • Just enough check-ins, and no surprises. Great teamwork.

I am a designer of learning experiences, and I am open to making new connections.

Let’s talk.
